Initially founded in 1992 to supply fish and products to Joey’s Only Seafood Restaurants, Teja quickly recognized opportunities for diversification and expansion. Over time, it evolved into a multifaceted entity with a diverse portfolio of brands catering to various segments of the food industry.

What began as a small commissary kitchen making tartar sauce and coleslaw for a handful of Joey’s locations quickly evolved. Recognizing the need for a reliable supply of proprietary ingredients, Joey’s expanded its operations. Under the leadership of President Tom Grande, TEJA Foods has grown exponentially, adding new products, acquiring like-minded businesses, and building a reputation for quality and innovation.

In 2011, TEJA Foods formed a strategic partnership with Cedarbay Grilling, North America’s leading producer of frozen seasoned salmon on a plank. Renowned for its convenience and exceptional flavor, Cedarbay’s seasoned salmon offers a gourmet dining experience with minimal effort—simply place it in the oven or on the BBQ, and indulge in the most decadent salmon you’ve ever tasted.
